Barlean’s Intestinal Repair




I don’t know how widely advertised this product is,

but if it’s not it NEEDS to be. I happened upon it by chance

while searching online, and am I ever happy I did.

Chaga Mushroom tea



“차가 버섯!” (cha-ga beoseot), said my friend in

Korea, as she advised me to try it when I told her about my

stomach condition. Also known as chaga mushroom,

this natural wonder is mother nature’s gift to us. Growing primarily

in the northern hemisphere (i.e. Siberia, Korea),

this powerful fungus packs one hell of a medicinal punch.


Chaga mushroom is mainly known for its power to reduce inflammation and block cell reproduction responsible for cancer. In fact, Chaga mushrooms have been used in chemotherapy treatments. If you want to learn more about the science backing these claims, head on over to this site to read more.


Though not the most glorious taste, it’s also not heavily “herbally” tasting. I found these Maine Chaga Tea Chunks to have the most balanced flavor.  There are a number of ways to prepare chaga mushrooms but I’ll share my preferred method below.


Note: There are other methods to preparing Chaga Mushroom tea, the following method, however, is when the mushroom has been ground down into powder form.




1.) Boil just enough filtered water to make one cup of tea


2.) Allow the water to sit for 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches room temperature

 NOTE: If the water is too hot, it will take away from some of the medicinal properties the mushroom offers


3.) After 15-20 minutes, spoon in approximately ½ tsp of chaga mushroom powder. Stir the powder well into the water.


4.) Drink



If I ever encounter a flare up, I just drink this about 3 times a day for two weeks straight, and it helps regulate my digestive system.


Chaga is an excellent long-term supplement to add to your diet if you suffer from gastrointestinal or colon issues. If you are of a particular age, then you already know that consistent inflammation over a long period of time can pose as a real health hazard; therefore, getting control of it before it causes life-threatening complications could wind up saving your life.
